How to live a beautiful life... Understanding A Beautiful Life
How to live a beautiful life...
Q: Let's start with the most popular and most asked question: when and how did it all start? What motivated you to start creating a fashion blog?
My blog is actually quite new, barely a year old! I officially relaunched my site in May of last year as a blog vs portfolio site for my photo / video work. It all started because I needed a platform to fuel my passion that was strictly mine, a place for my work that was not channeled through the filter of the companies I worked for. I had tried blogging online a few times at that time (Myspace, LiveJournal, Xanga, etc.), but when I did, it was not yet a lucrative or legitimate career path. But soon enough, I noticed that a market space for the “blogger” had formed and the demand for “influencer marketing” was steadily increasing. When this observation was made, it was only a matter of time before I decided to take it seriously.
Q: There is always a special and meaningful meaning behind the name of a blog. Can you please share the story or meaning behind your blog name This Beautiful Life?
I just knew I needed it to be wide. So many people until then had told me that I needed to consolidate the content and concept of my blog; that I had to pick a few topics to write about and stick to it, but I never wanted to. I love to write about anything that moves me, and I needed the name to make sense as an umbrella for anything I would have to write, so it ended up being perfect. Under ThisBeautifuLife I can write about travel, technology, food, fashion, beauty, my thoughts and feelings, even hardships and heavier parts, and they can all come under this thing called "life." And it is true that it is beautiful. :)
Q: To get to know each other on a more fun and personal level, what's your favorite movie, food / drink, location, book, and color?
Film: There are too many of them. Let's just say I'm really drawn to the action, the horror, and the fantastic cinematography. Food: Steak Drink: Water (so boring lol) Location: Again, way too much. I'm going to have a headache trying to pick one. Book: Daring Greatly and The Untethered Soul (but I have a few more in my library that I haven't had time to read yet and might like even more) Color: Blue (especially Navy and Cobalt)

Q: They say a photo is worth a thousand words. A fashion blogger is largely based on the great photos they provide to their followers, and an important aspect of that is choosing the right photographer. How did you meet your photographer?
My "photographer" is a combination of myself and whoever is with me at the time, haha! As a trained shooter, I am extremely picky about my photos. I basically have the person "standing" (standing where I'm going to be standing), and I place the camera, frames the picture and takes the picture, then give him the camera and tell him to point the camera. where I pointed it and take the exact same pic lol. It's hard! Fortunately, the people I travel with are more than willing to help me out, and I take pictures of them, so there is a balance between giving and receiving!
Q: Your fashion style is unique and based on vintage! Every look you do has its own individualistic touch. Is it sometimes difficult to create such exclusive looks every time, or is it just natural?
First of all, thank you very much! These are very kind words. It's still pretty natural to me, no bragging rights. Simply because I think personal style should be effortless. I wholeheartedly believe in wearing what we feel comfortable in, and for me that's a pretty wide range of looks, just because I've always worn what I wanted, ever since I started wearing it. am a child. Whenever I choose a piece, I always have some sort of vision in mind of what I want the overall outfit to look like, so it's just a matter of realizing that vision!
Q: Fashion blogging takes a lot of time and dedication. Has this had any impact on your career? Has it taken you in a new direction in life?
It absolutely is! My blog and social media often double as a CV, so the quality of my work is evident, even before clients meet me. As a result, it has given me the opportunity to remain solely independent in terms of content production, because clients know I can achieve what they are looking to achieve without having to be "at the office" every day. It allowed me to make my own schedule, and it allowed me to travel. My blog is my life. :)

Q: We can't help but notice your beautiful smile and the amazing positive energy that lights up your blog. What motivates you or inspires you to present the happy heart and optimism that is close to your heart?
Thanks again! You are so nice. :) I have always believed strongly in spreading love and joy, even in the most difficult times. I have learned even more lately about the value that kindness, understanding and grace can bring to any situation in this life, so I Keep these 3 words in mind every day. You never know when your smile could brighten someone's day, or even save someone's life. Be the change you want to see in this world, right? Smiling as often as possible is the first step in this direction. :)
Q: Finally, there are so many up-and-coming bloggers looking to break into the fashion world, what advice would you give the next generation of young fashion-seeking bloggers?
Believe in yourself, trust yourself and your skills, and never stop. Consistency is the key. On top of that, find ways to inspire yourself to continue to grow as an influencer. Growing is never a bad thing. Determine what you bring to the table that is different from everyone else and set yourself apart.
